The method emphasises children’s innate ability to direct their development when given the opportunity and tools, the multi-age grouping environment and dedication to individual growth. At AZ, the Montessori curriculum is divided into five working areas:

Children are hard-wired to learn through play. Numerous studies show that children who learn through inquiry and play, go on to succeed academically. Involvement in play stimulates a child’s drive for exploration and discovery. At AZ, play-based learning utilises the environment as a third teacher, in conjunction with the children and classroom facilitator (teacher). Every activity and material placed in the classroom and school have a purpose, adds to the learning, and helps scaffold information across the learning domains.

AZ integrated curriculum aims to prepare every child is having a smooth and successful transition into all types of primary school. Our indoor-outdoor programme integrates a series of carefully planned hands-on learning experiences that are guided by Malaysia, Western and Eastern educational practices which supports children’s learning in a fun and exciting way.
